Bet on Alfa: Champions League 2021-2022 Draw Group Analysis & Predictions

Another year, another Champions League tournament!
Have you placed your bets, or not yet?

Some groups appear to be straightforward, while others appear to be more difficult to predict, still, one thing’s for sure: there will be some notable games taking place early in the competition, due to the superclubs’ dominance!
Manchester City is in the most difficult group, United is also in a tricky group and all of the teams in Liverpool’s group have qualified to the final at some point!

Let’s have a closer look at these following groups, as well as a prediction of how each team will finish to keep Cyprus betting back on track!  

Group A

This is by far the most difficult group, with the defeated finalist from the previous two seasons, as well as RB Leipzig, who reached the semi-finals two seasons ago, making the group exciting.
There will be a rematch of last season’s semi-final, in which Manchester City easily defeated Paris Saint-Germain.
The teams in the group will face a tough PSG team that now includes Lionel Messi and, maybe more importantly, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos, and Gini Wijnaldum.
Leipzig may not appear to be a strong competitor this season, with Jesse Marsch replacing Julian Nagelsmann as coach and Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahmim Konaté leaving and Club Brugge have never progressed past the group stage, but it is always the underdog that adds a level of danger.
Predicted finish order: Manchester City, PSG, RB Leipzig, Club Brugge

Group B
Group B includes three former champions and a team that has lost three finals. Although Atlético won the Spanish title last year, their previous European efforts have been disappointing, despite the fact that they eliminated Liverpool the season before last.
As for Liverpool, the question is whether their weak form last year was due to a bizarre series of injuries or something more substantial that will have an after effect this year.
Despite finishing second in Portugal the previous season, Sérgio Conceiço’s Porto shined in the Champions League, defeating Juventus and overcoming Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
AC Milan is back in the Champions League after 7 years, as they continue their renaissance under Stefano Pioli. Their appearance is perhaps the deepest and most balanced in the competition, making this group quite unpredictable, especially on Cyprus Bettings!

Group C
This group is most likely the most open of all.
Sporting won the league title for the first time in 19 years last season, under coach Rben Amorim. Ajax won the Eredivisie by 16 points last season and have been able to maintain their players together for the most part.
Besiktas have strengthened their team ahead of their first Champions League campaign in four years, with Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea being the most fascinating signing.
The team with the highest coefficient in this group is Borussia Dortmund, with Marco Rose as a coach and forward Donyell Malen arriving from PSV Eindhoven replacing Jadon Sancho. Last season’s top scorer, Erling Haaland is on board with the club this season.

Group D

For all football savvies out there, this group might look quite familiar!
Three of the four teams in Group D were also placed together last season, when Inter ended at the bottom and Shakhtar finished third despite beating Real Madrid both at home and away. Madrid can still put on a show that brings back memories of glory days, but an aging team can be becoming unpredictable!
Despite winning Serie A for the first time since 2010, Inter have subsequently lost their manager, Antonio Conte, who has been replaced by Simone Inzaghi, as well as Romelu Lukaku and Hakimi. As for Shakhtar, Lassina Traoré and Marlon were the two significant arrivals in the team, whose four-year winning streak in Ukraine came to an end last season.Finally, Sheriff became the first Moldovan team to qualify for the group stage after defeating Dinamo Zagreb in a play-off.
Could this team be the surprise against all odds out of all the Cyprus Betting predictions?

Group E
Bayern, Barcelona and Benfica… three former winners all placed in the same group, with Bayern having the upper hand after defeating Barcelona 8-2 the last time they met.
Barcelona will start the new Champions League season without Messi and without much optimism for the first time since 2003 (which for all of us will be strange to watch too).
Last season, Dynamo Kyiv won their first championship in five years under veteran Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu, while Benfica finished in third place in Portugal after the return of manager Jorge Jesus from Flamengo, where he won the Copa Libertadores.
Predicted finish order: Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Dynamo Kiev, Benfica

Group F
Manchester United, who were eliminated in the group stage last season, is facing a difficult draw. But with the arrivals of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, and the miraculous comeback of Cristiano Ronaldo, there can be no more excuses for them not to make it to the next stage!
Villarreal finished 7th in La Liga last season and would not be considered a Pot 1 team, but Unai Emery is a master of European competition and he proved it when he defeated Manchester United in the Europa League final.
Giampiero Gasperini’s Atalanta have eliminated Madrid in the home game of the last-16 tie last season, and the season before they pushed PSG close in the quarter-final. Young Boys won the Swiss championship by 31 points thanks to Gerardo Seoane, who has subsequently transferred to Bayer Leverkusen and will be replaced by David Wagner.
With so many additions in these teams’ squad we can surely expect the unexpected!

Group G
One can say that Group G is, in some ways, the weakest. Why?
Lille have lost manager Christophe Galtier after winning the title last season, and he has been replaced by Jocelyn Gourvennec, while Boubakary Soumare, Mike Maignan, and Luiz Arajo have all been transferred.
Sevilla started this season with two wins, but still they’re the weakest team in Pot 2.
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg’s coach, Oliver Glasner, has been fired since the club finished fourth in the Bundesliga. This brings big hopes for RB Salzburg, whose presence in the group stage is becoming more regular lately!
Predicted finish order: Salzburg, Sevilla, Wolfsburg, Lille

Group H
After the Pot 3 and Pot 4 sides were selected, what could have been a very challenging group turned to be the opposite.
Zenit lost only three games when they won their third Russian league title in a row under Sergei Semak, and they should not be underestimated, but they are not on the same level as Chelsea, who have been strengthened with the arrival of Romelu Lukaku giving the team the attacking advantage it lacked last season.
Max Allegri is back in charge of Juventus after a two-year absence during which the club endured two last-16 losses in the Champions League, and with Ronaldo now gone, the team could face some difficulties both in the way the team played so far and the goals scored.
FInally, Malmö, led by Jon Dahl Tomasson, had to go through four rounds of qualifying just to get to the group stage and is a clear underdog, yet again Cyprus bettings have proved that people love the underdog!
Predicted order of finish: Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit, Malmö
